Hotels in Belle Mare
Maritim Crystals Beach is a hotel that I tried during the Easter holidays. Beautifully architecture, shops, good restaurants, peaceful with beautiful gardens and nice activities, we cannot ask more from a hotel. The staff is very warm welcoming, and you have all the amenities needed for a family with children in this hotel. It can also be a very romantic place and you can find quite secluded areas around for more privacy. There are some other B&B, bungalows and all types of budget hotels in this area.
The Caves in Bras D’eau
Visiting caves such as La Cave Madame in Roche Noires can be very interesting. It is possible to walk from the village of Rivière du Rempart to the caves so as to discover the remains of the volcanic activity that formed Mauritius. Bats live in these cool and dark caves. Rocks and stones are not very stable there, so be careful! The caves can be accessed from La Foret De Bras d’eau.
